#SexIs - Feedback Request: Topic Suggestions 04/12

Contributor: Rayne Millaray Rayne Millaray

So the other day, someone on the forum mentioned that they've got topics they'd like to see SexIs cover. They wanted to know if we were open to suggestion.

Yes! A thousand times, yes! We love suggestions. So I'm starting this thread for you to leave us topic suggestions for the month of April, and I'll start another one like it in May so it doesn't get too long to be manageable.

You guys just drop your suggestions in the box. If you're interested in the opinion/knowledge of a particular writer, make sure you leave their name, too! And if you're too shy to ask out in the open, like this, shoot me an email at rayne(at)edenfantasys( dot)com. If there's no name in your suggestion, we'll divy them up according to who we think could best cover the topic. Can't wait to hear from you!

Disclaimer:
If you've ever written anything besides a book report or term paper, you know that often the writer's mind, like that of any artist when practicing their passion, just goes where it wants once pen touches paper, or the monitor flickers on. We can't promise the responses to these will be prompt, or that they'll even come. But we can promise we'll give it our best shot!

This is a really cool idea.. I'm glad SexIs is allowing us to give topics.

Thank you for giving us this option.

i'd like to hear from experts on birth control options and/or sterilization and/or abortion stories.

in particular, perhaps real info and facts on IUDs and tubal ligation as BC forms?

just an idea, something i'm working through right now.

also, i'd love to hear personal narratives from transgender folks about their experience with acceptance, transition, relationships, etc.

and... maybe an advice article on breakups? how to deal healthily with them? how to sever ties gracefully?

Comparison about attitudes towards women's sexual and reproductive rights in different countries - US, Canada, Mexico, Protestant Europe, Catholic Europe, etc.

I just submitted something I wrote about the metaphorical process of cleaning out my toy collection and how that helped me to come to terms and make peace with a recent breakup. Snuck some wisdom and insight in there, too.

all great ideas!

I would be interested in articles regarding sexual dysfunction issues.

depression and medication affecting sex and sex drive

experiences of being judged harshly for relationships "out of the box". specifically by new vanilla partners learning about the not so vanilla past of their current partner and the relationship struggles that can result

mental health issues and their impact on sex life

the concept of fluidity in sexual orientation/gender/rel ationship styles

families...the way different families are created. breaking the barriers of the traditional mainstream

different types of friendships...beyond FWB
;
just a few ideas, lol

Along those lines, I would be interested in seeing articles about women's rights not to have children...childless by choice, as it were. There is a lot of stigma attached to women who just don't want to be mothers.

GOD YES.

Interestingly, I just wrote something on that very topic. I haven't submitted it yet (still fine-tuning) but it's something that's been on my mind for quite a while now.
