Just curious! If you have visited I would LOVE to hear about it!
Incase you don't know, the Gordon Lee Mansion is a, well, mansion that was built in 1847 and used during the Battle of Chickamauga. I won't go into lots of detail, but it's such a beautiful, interesting place!
The first time I visited, I was probably 10 and my twin and I had our pictures made there. I remember peeking through the huge windows and begging to go inside. They don't allow people inside unless they're doing a tour which is very rare. I was lucky enough to attend the tour and go inside last night!
When I was a kid and had my pics made there, I told my mom that if I ever got married it WOULD be there. She made me a deal that if I waited until 21 to marry and all this other stuff, she'd pay for it. Well, guys, I'm about to turn 22! Lol. So my family, partner and I went for the tour last night and since we take trips to haunted places to get photos, we done that too! (Got some amazing pics)
The library of the mansion was used during the war for the wounded and the amputations (legs, arms, etc) were thrown out of the french doors and into waiting wagons below! I was in the library and was admiring the old couch thingy and saw a HUGE blood stain underneath it. Of course I was bent over looking at it and had to touch it. It was so crazy! But very interesting to finally get inside.
So, I'm curious if anyone else has got to visit the Gordon Lee Mansion? Do share!
