Hi guys! Rayne here, again.
We've made some changes to the writing guidelines and programs for the EdenCafe blog, and wanted to let y'all know about them. So here they are!
Erotica:
For those of you who don't know, we started accepting erotica on the EdenCafe blog. We kept the acceptable word count short, and the gift card payment low because we weren't sure if it was a temporary thing. That is to say we put it to a test, of sorts, to see how it would do.
It's doing well! So we've decided to open up the word count allowance and offer more money for higher word count pieces. The new payment guidelines are as follows:
* $10 gift card for 500 – 800 words
* $20 gift card for 801 – 1200 words
* $30 gift card for more than 1200 words – Submissions that are more than 1200 words will be accepted on a case by case basis.
Nonfiction (including opinion, researched posts, responses to other posts in the archive, etc.):
You guys are really bringing it with the nonfic articles! You've definitely kept us hopping with the submissions. This has made it imperative that we be a little more selective in what we accept so that everyone has a chance to speak their mind on our community blog. As such, posts over 1200 words will only be accepted if the length is warranted and they are good quality posts.
Don't worry! This doesn't mean you have to be a professional writer to submit. We're just looking for articles that are well thought out, focused and informative.
EdenVlogs:
Just in case you've missed it, we've begun the EdenVlogs program. There are two ways to participate in this program.
1. Submit a video to the EdenVlogs topic of the month. Anyone can participate. Just check out the monthly video I post for the topic, and make a video. Once your video is complete, upload it to EdenTube, tag it EdenVlogs and Vlog, write up a summary and add this paragraph to your summary section:
ANYONE can participate in the EdenVlogs topic of the month and you get a gift card to EdenFantasys for doing it! Just record yourself talking about the topic and upload the finished product to EdenTube. Then email Rayne at rayne(at)edenfantasys( d0t)com with a link and your profile information!
Then, email me (rayne[at]edenfantasys[d0t]com) the link, your email address and a username you'd like to use on EdenCafe, and I'll get your vlog scheduled on the Cafe and a card out to you as soon as possible!
2. Submit a pitch for a video topic you'd like to cover. Doesn't matter who you are. We just ask that the topic fall under one of these headings: Sex, sexuality, humor, community, news, events, politics, bdsm, lgbqt, relationships, sex and parenting, world events, health care, health and wellness issues, sexual health, body image. Email me a pitch, and we'll see if we can't work something out.
That's about it for today. You can find the entire (bulleted) list of guidelines here. Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions. Can't wait to see what you've got to say!
