UPS - Is Something Wrong...? :S

okay, usually UPS and I have had a fantastic relationship with one another but this time I'm getting a bit antsy about the fact that my backordered Pure Plug Large has been sitting in South Carolina's UPS stop since early (like 1AM) 16th and the 'backordered' free toy from the order that's almost reached me (the pure plug and the free gift were both backordered) departed out of South Carolina yesterday but the Pure Plug did not...
The scheduled delivery date for the pure plug is the 26th, it usually takes 3 days from Hodgkins,IL (stop after South Carolina) to reach the coast and another 2-3 days to get from there to my door. So that's 5-6 business days, which is already 2 days later than the scheduled delivery date.

So my question is...what are some explanations for this snag? is it because they found something metal in the box or did it get misplaced? (I would be EXTREMELY peeved if this happened with a 80+ dollar item) The Pure Plug is the thing I've been waiting and going crazy the most about getting so I would appreciate some reassurances of some kind or SOMETHING.

I know it's a long shot but is there anyway to have a person in the shipping department contact UPS in West Columbia, SC and go 'What's Up?' since as far as I know the deliveree can't do anything it seems until the first attempted delivery while the sender can do tons right off the bat :S

I was going to post this tomorrow but I decided to hammer it out today since the 'depart' time for that UPS warehouse (I've had like 10 orders in the past month pass through it, I know the times sort of :\) has already occurred for today.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

I'm sorry your order is not in transit as expected. I alerted customer service of this thread and they said they would check this thread soon. They also said that you can call them at 888-506-5516 or submit a support ticket about the issue.

I would if I had the time to type out the above again but I'm about to leave for today and tomorrow and won't have net access much (and I'm a crazy person that doesn't own a cellphone), I was hoping it could be resolved while I was gone (especially if it doesn't move in the next two days >_>)
