Question about using commission from the program to pay for EF orders.

Contributor: CS2012 CS2012
I am registered for the Affiliate program with an address in Austria and I have selected to use my commission to be used for purchases on EF. If I wanted to use my commission to pay for an EF order can I have the order sent to the USA or does it have to be sent to the address that I registered for the affiliate program.

I might be wrong here (if I am, somebody else pleeeease correct me), but in my own experience with the affiliate commissions and using them to pay for orders, I've just done it right from the checkout. So you would add your items to the cart, then when you go to pay, select "pay using commission."

I was wanting to know if I can ship orders to a different address than the one registered for commission payments, when I pay for an order using commission payments.

I'm so sorry for the confusion. I think so, but I'm not 100% on it

Yep you can. I know I have before. I use commission for gifts for people in other states every once and again and have never had a problem.

Thanks for the good info, TitsMcScandal and Sam Y'all are right.

The shipping and billing addresses can be different, and the payment step is separate from the address step, so you set the addresses and then apply commission (and other forms of payment if needed) to the purchase total.

This is interesting. Can you use the commission if it's not $50 yet and if you have an international address? Can you use other payment methods combined with this or it's only useful if you can cover the entire payable amount with the commissions?

Yes and Yes. You can use any amount that you have accumulated from closed periods whether if it covers the entire order or not. I usually use it to top up the last few dollars I need to place an order. (That or points)

Hi Howells,
You can apply your commission to an EF order if the commission is owed to you, and it can be less than $50, yes. Your location does not matter for this offer; affiliates worldwide can apply commissions to their order. You can use the commission to cover part or all of your purchase, and then cover the rest of the purchase with another payment method, if needed.

When I say "the commission owed to you" I mean the commission must be from a closed period. If you earn commission in March, then there is a cooling off period for the month of April, and the commission is owed to you at the beginning of May.

Oh okay, then I'll need to spend more time here to use those earnings As far as I can tell only checks or wire transfer is available to EU and I'd only request it via paypal but you only do that to US citizens. I guess it's better to spend it on products anyway.

Paypal is worldwide! The commissions page is being updated to reflect that. If you'd like to request your earnings through Paypal, you can.

Oh that's awesome! Online shops especially adult shops tend to close down any paypal opportunities but you somehow just spread the possibilities. It's a very good payment and universal money store/exchange method for us international customers so EF rocks!
