You agree not to engage in unacceptable use of any Services, which includes, without limitation, use of the Services to: (...) (ii) disseminate or transmit any material that, to a reasonable person may be abusive, obscene, pornographic, defamatory, harassing, grossly offensive, vulgar, threatening or malicious;
I know from people who have used them before that although they will tell you that it's okay, one complaint and you can say goodbye to your hosting and there is nothing or little you can do about it.
Dreamhost and hostgator are both pretty good and as far as I recall they do allow adult content.
Before you choose a hosting company read the TOS it can save you a whole host of headaches later down the road. If it specifically states no adult or nudity, porno, etc somewhere in there stay away would be my advice for what it's worth. less

I like the price of GoDaddy cause the blog and store is just something that is going to be fun - not earn me money like a business so don't want to pay out for too much a month.
I decided to email GoDaddy and ask them if they allowed adult material on the site. I told them it wasn't pornographic but that I wanted to put up images of adult material. Maybe I should have actually stated adult toys.
Here's the reply I received:
Hello -
Thank you for contacting customer support. I am happy to assist you with your issue.
I have added the hosting account to your cart, it did add the items at the promotional price automatically. You will notice that the monthly cost does like AU$5.04, but the final price reflects the discount.
Our hosting plans are adult-content friendly.
Again, thank you for contacting customer support. Should you need additional information or assistance, please reply to this email.
Best Regards,

BUT after what you have said I am a little concerned. I also googled before getting the email, of what others say.
Apparently some of them were told it was adult friendly but then later on after setting up the hosting and their site, they were kicked off. Some said, customer service will tell ya yes it's allowed when the company actually don't allow it.
I'm not sure how old those posts were or if GoDaddy has changed things but that worries me.
It's not fair if ya told that it's ok (especially if ya have it in writing) and the company just boots ya anyway. If ya can't take the word of the staff, then how can ya be held responsible?
Dreamhost is US$8.95 a month - do they only allow ya to pay it yearly or can ya do it monthly, 3 monthly etc?
They don't really tell ya much without ya having to sign up.
