#AskEden - How do I make affiliate widgets for porn DVDs?

I'm making a blog post about Halloween sex toys and stuff and want to include porn suitable for Halloween, but I can't put porn DVD's on my "desktop" in order to be able to include them in the widget making process.

Is there some way to fix it so that I can make widgets with the porn DVD's? The fact that the format for the porn items is so VERY different from other EF items makes them really difficult to work with.

BTW, is there any chance that the formatting for all items (sex toys, books, lingerie, porn) will ever be standardized? All the different formats make the website look confused.

Products on EdenFantasys.com can be added to widgets, but products on EdenDVD.com cannot be added to widgets. We do not currently plan to make changes to the EdenDVD platform to allow those products to be available on widgets.

However, if you have reviewed a DVD, then you can get a widget for the DVD in your account. The process is a bit different than the usual affiliate widgets. Go to your Reviews page in your account, then click the title of a DVD review. On the review's page in your account, near the top of the review there will be a button that says "Get Widget." Click this button and you will land on the Review Widget page, where you have some dark widget themes and light widget themes to choose from. You can copy and paste the widget code into your site to link to the DVD's page, even if the DVD is on EdenDVD.com. I hope this helps.

This might be considered cheating, but If you are HTML inclined you can make your own "widget". It won't have the price or buy now buttons, though.

An easy way to do this is to make a non flash widget with the number of products you want, and then carefully edit it to include the DVD's you want to promote.

Just remember:

a href= is the product URL
img src= is the product image URL
alt= is the description (in case the image doesn't show up, this is the alternative used)
title= is the description that shows up when you hover over the image



Similar to making a blog button or any clickable image!

I don't think it's cheating at all. You're just linking to an EdenFantasys product with an affiliate link. I think it's fine.
