Do you find this banner offensive? "take the best part" take a look

I think there is enough consensus that there should be a response from EF. I respect those that don't care or think it's funny. Yet enough of us are offended that they should respond.

It's insinuating that the "best part" of a woman's anatomy is her pussy. They obviously haven't made acquaintances with my mouth or else they'd think differently

I think we really often choose what we are offended by. It's a joke.

No, I'm not offended by it. It's a joke.

I'm working on becoming less offended by things that really don't make a difference in my life. The first half or so of my life, I seemed to be always on the lookout for things to offend me, and of late, I have tried to take a more Zen approach to things.

I'm really more at peace with life when things are not allowed to so easily or knee jerked-ly (?) offend me. And I often am thinking; one needs to either allow unimportant things to offend us or even work at being offended. I no longer have the time, the strength or the need to be offended that easily anymore.

Mileage and all that.

I don't think it's offensive at all.

Is it different from saying that a dildo mimics the "best part" of the man?

Unless they were talking about the Maven in the picture...that's just creepy!

I don't find it offensive. It's just poking fun at the fact that people are buying a toy version of the female anatomy. Not in a mean way, just a joking way. It's a toy, you know, and it's a molded pussy. Do some people find that to be the best part of a woman? Sure. But what are these people to you? Anyone you know? Probably not. Now if a partner was saying to you, "The best part of you is your vagina/pussy," then yeah, that's probably gonna be offensive to you. But a banner featuring a joke that's not directed at you specifically? That's wholly subjective and not everyone is going to be on the same page, as we've seen in the responses here. If the banner offends you, I suggest not using it. If you come across it somewhere, click away from the page.

Just my two cents.

The banner in question is meant as a joke. If the banner doesn't seem appealing or humorous to you, then perhaps you're not in the target audience. You have the choice of which banners you use on your site, and the choice of viewing (or not viewing) site content as you wish.

You could infer that this ad is suggesting women can be replaced by a product — I think it's a huge stretch, but even if it did — so what?

Find me one reasonable and sane person who actually BELIEVES such an idea. Nobody going to be persuaded to believe in such a ridiculously false concept by a little banner ad. It's clearly humorous and like most humor, it's not universally funny.

Come on, y'all.

There's plenty of actually offensive activity going on out there that should be called out. Focusing on the trivial does nothing but trivialize efforts to combat actual victimization and objectification of women.

I'm more offended by contributors posting their Affiliate codes in their banner or in threads than I am by a pocket pussy.

I may just be a feminist, but I think saying that the "best part" of a woman is her vagina. However...

It is a little humorous in the fact that someone thought this one up. And I'm sure that it was to advertise to straight guys, who indeed often find these things funny. It's all about marketing, and I'm sure they aren't TRYING to offend anyone. I think people may take it too far to get offended by this.

Ask yourselves, would be you be offended if you saw the same wording on a banner with a realistic dong? In all honesty, probably not. I don't think I would, simply because when I am buying toys, I'm looking for something to 'replace' a penis. Something to hold me over until my fiance comes home from traveling.

That's just what men are trying to do. Find that one part of our bodies that makes them cum - our vaginas. They want something to hold them over until their wives get home, or until they find their next partner. They are just like us.

So yes, it offends me a bit, but I think it isn't a huge deal.

Yeah, it's a joke. Besides everyone knows My Man thinks the best part of me is my tits and ass.

As per my last post, I think this banner if funny. I would not have even seen it (as I don't have a blog) until this thread was begun.

The thing is, I wouldn't support a banner saying "take the best part" that portrayed dildos either. I just don't think it's a supportive or inclusive statement, even in advertising.
