Are affiliate links allowed on Facebook?

I have been researching this and can not find a clear answer on the internet or even FB help section.

I have found apps that "cloak" links so that you can mask the affiliate link, but i would not do that.

FB physically allows affiliate links, but is it allowed? can you get banned from FB for it?

can you cite a source for this information?

The internet hasn't been a good search. Some people claim to have been banned, others say that FB allows it but you have to make sure it's okay with the affiliate company. =/

sounds like we found about the same info then. basically nothing definitive. but i have noticed that some affiliate agreements forbid it, which in a way makes me thnk that FB allows it, and then like u said it's a matter of making sure it's ok with the affiliate company.
