Not receiving email from EF?

Contributor: Kat Shanahan Kat Shanahan
Three days ago I noticed, when I logged into EF, a message at the top of my screen saying "The email address you have provided is not deliverable; our mail server received a permanent error when trying to deliver email to this address. Please check or change your email address. We will no longer deliver email to you until the address is changed and verified again."

The email address I use for EF is working perfectly. It's not a web-based address; it's from my ISP. But in any case, I changed it to another email address I have (also from my ISP.) Both addresses are working perfectly in regards to email from everyone else; it's only EF that I'm having the problem with.

I submitted a support ticked on Monday but I haven't heard a peep. And I haven't received any email whatsoever from EF since the 6th of July (I usually get a few messages a day, product alerts and such.)

What can I do to get this resolved?

Sometimes EF emails get picked up as spam. Depending on the programming, this could be causing issues.

Maybe start up a commercial .com email and have the emails forwarded to your usual email account?

I had this happen to me once. I had no problem receiving e-mail alerts to my account for a long time (for alerts that I had set). Then one day I noticed that I wasn't getting e-mail alerts from EF any longer. I came across that same notice, only it was on my personal account information page where you list your e-mail address.

The only way I could fix it was to change my e-mail address, only to go right back in after saving the new e-mail address to change it right back to my original e-mail address. It worked like a charm, and I have been getting my e-mail alerts with no interruptions ever since.

I seem to have developed this same problem. I just went in and changed my email and then changed it back, like the previous poster said they did, but it's still giving me that error. I even added Eden to my address books in hopes that'd help. I don't know what else to do.

It sounds like they're working on it right now, Mandy. Here's a thread where it has been discussed recently: link

Thanks for the link! Didn't see that one when I was searching for answers.
