#AskEden - E-mail Verification Problems

I know a few people are having problems with verifying their e-mail and then a day or two later getting a message that says they need to verify again.


I was wondering if anyone has found a remedy to this situation, or is this a sitewide problem?


It's nothing major, but I don't get my e-mail notifications if my e-mail isn't re-verified every couple of days, and I like to be notified about all the little comments and stuff on my reviews/wall.


I've also missed an alert or two until a friend let me know the day after a sale ended because I didn't re-verify..


Any thoughts on fixes Edenites or Admins? I'm sure everyone experiencing this will be über excited for a solution, even if it means only having to verify again once a week!

I figured the powers that be were actively working on it, but sometimes (especially on the internet) you never know who will come up with a working solution and think it isn't worth sharing. Thanks for the speedy reply Stormy!!

You'd have to know the ins and outs of the system we run to come up with a solution.

It's somehow comforting to know others are having a similar problem. Every time I place an order, I find the unverified message once the order has shipped. I submitted a ticket & tried everything they suggested, such as a different browser, emptying my cache, etc. It's good to know it's not me! Sounds as if I don't have it nearly as bad as some others.

I saw on another thread that someone solved the problem of not receiving emails form EF despite trying everything they could think of. They made sure to check the box for receiving email when they placed an order & everything worked fine after that. Not the exact same problem, but it's worth a shot if you place an order.

It seems I've been suffering from this for that past week or so (first time since signup, years ago). Just went into account and it said email was unverified, never received any notice. I was wondering why my Alerts stopped, esp. for review(er)s. Thanks for the news Stormy, and topic MrWilly.

It happened to me again today. I've had my email verified for years but, 26 days ago, I was asked to verify. So, I did. And, today, I was asked to verify again. I'm guessing this is just because of more site changes/issues?

Y'know, since this is only the second time this has happened, I didn't really put that together... but I did place an order earlier... and I think the last time was after an order, too. Hmm... Wonder what's going on...

Others have stated this is happening after an order is placed, and I can definitely verify this is the case for me. Most if not all orders placed in the last 4-6 weeks have caused me to lose email verification. Nothing else. I haven't done anything different that I can think of. Tried once to mark box for 'subscribing' to emails to no avail. Just trying to help, I'm sure this is still being worked on.
