Hi guys, I'm super paranoid about damaged packaging (long story). Has anyone ever received an Eden package that was damaged in a way that the sex toy was ever exposed?
Damaged Packaging?

I have never received a damaged package, but I have ordered a few toys before that got kind of smashed by other toys. The prominent one was a Fun Factory dildo.. got a little crumbled by it's box mate, but nothing terrible and the toy was fine.
09/09/2011
I have, but not so much that the toy was visible! And I've had toys where the actual packaging was smushed, but that's not a super big deal to me as long as the toy is okay!
09/09/2011
I haven't. If you are genuinely concerned about it maybe submit a support ticket and see if you can get an exchange.
09/09/2011
No, that has never happened to me either. I usually have them shipped USPS, and they use the Priority Mail boxes, which are pretty darn sturdy.
09/09/2011
I've just received my new purchase today, the USPS Priority Mail cardboard box is still in pristine condition.

I've been getting highly smashed UPS packages lately, but the contents of the boxes were in perfect condition and still protected from potentially prying eyes. I think it's just because the boxes had a lot of empty space.

I have gotten well over 40 packages from Eden in the last year. None have ever arrived damaged, crushed, or even so much as a dinged; all our packages HAVE to come USPS. I am pleased as punch about that because UPS can't seem to get one darned thing to me, in Alaska, without mangling the box beyond recognition.

I did have one package that had obviously been opened by the post office. No note or anything, just partially opened and evidently peeked into. Some package carriers and post office branches that use planes have X Ray machines and if something looks weird, well, they have Homeland Security to allow them to look.

Our new post office seems to be fairly well behaved. It's a small branch in an area considered to be of little consequence to what's going on in the rest of our world, so I don't think there are any scanners in place.

Packages arrive in pretty much the same state they left, except it has a code for my mail slot written on it. I've got the timing down to a science and will either meet the postman at the mail center if I think the package will be cumbersome or wait until he's left. I'm sure he thinks I'm a shop-aholic housewife with nothing better to do but spend my husband's money. LOLOL I love my little secret.

I've had a few boxes look like they took a spill, but I haven't had anything show up super damaged before.
09/09/2011
Phew, I know it's a felony to open another person's mail...but if it's already open *shudders to imagine*. My mind is at rest now!

With the USPS doing such a good job on our packages, it's a shame to see the government closing it down!

I have never had a package from EF arrive damaged.

I have had damaged packaging (inside the main cardboard box) and once I have had damaged (wet) external packaging. I didn't find that the toys were damaged, but it's always good to test them out, turn them on, see if they charge, etc. If they don't, EF will gladly exchange or refund you.

I've had a few boxes look slightly crushed. Only twice has something arrived broken, but it wasn't due to damaged packaging.
I just sent two boxes of things from EF to my sister. They arrived yesterday. She told me it sounded like the postal carrier dropped each box from several feet off the ground multiple times. !!! She only heard this. She didn't witness it. Nothing was broken at least.
One time I heard the delivery person (can't remember if it were UPS/USPS/FedEx) walk toward the door, exclaim "UH!!" then apparently fall. That package was completely smashed. We think our cat dashed in front of him and the delivery guy tripped over him. Our cat does that all the time.

I actually had one arrive today where the box looked like someone did some kickboxing on it...one of the packages was open inside (it was still taped, but there were holes in the box all over, half of it was crushed like it had been hit with a sledgehammer) and the toy was half out of the box. I looked it over and found hair in the battery compartment...so I have a ticket in to send it back. The other toy in the box seemed to be ok, but had dirt in the box (Evolved toy) so I am concerned that maybe they were both opened, but I dont know for sure. Ideas?

I've never had the outside packaging come damaged, but I've had a bottle of silicone lube break inside! Thank goodness for air sealed packaging on silicone toys.

I'd definitely submit a support ticket, which it sounds like you already did. If you're uneasy about the state a toy came in, a ticket to return or exchange it is always what you should do

I did and they have been very helpful...wish they had someone online a little later in the afternoon. We are in CST and they are normally closed by the time I get off work, so every conversation takes a day for reply. However, I really can't complain as they have been nothing but nice and courteous from the start.

Everything always comes in perfect condition!

I order from EF pretty frequently, and everything has always arrived in excellent condition.
12/06/2011
Since EF switched to using USPS only one parcel out of the countless parcels I've ordered arrived in decent condition and that was because it had this big sticker on it that said FRAGILE. Everything else has arrived like they used the package to sit on. Every corner (the side corners) had been crushed and opened.
I ordered the Opus, and in that package, the purple Opus was hanging half in the parcel and half out of the parcel. I remember when I saw it, I forgot to be embarrassed but thought, "Oh that is indeed a nice purple nothing like it appears on the site!!!" The number of issues where my parcel was torn apart and actually looked like it was destroyed has been every parcel sent via USPS/China Post but that one with the FRAGILE sticker.
I have asked EF to use more tape, but was told no; why not get gift wrap on my items? But that doesn't help if the parcel is opened by customs as even then everything is opened. It was only after I very loudly complained about their promise of discreet packaging did they finally agree to more tape.
The number of complaints I've voiced to China Post and their lack of professionalism falls on deaf ears, as has my complaints to USPS as they are the ones that are ultimately responsible for my parcel as they ship through China Post.
But hopefully, with the additional taping, sat on parcels, kicked parcels, will at least guarantee the contents will remain IN the parcel.
But the good news is, when I was asked about why I order so many of these "things" why not just have a live-in boyfriend. My reply was priceless, "Chinese men just don't know how to satisfy a woman."

I have had my fair share of damaged boxes. This is not EF's fault, but the mailing system. I have even had boxes that are ripped open. The mail man even throw my box on the porch one day. I was just opening the door and it smacked the door. I yelled at him. I seriously told him "You, best not of just broke my glass butt plug." I was so pist. Now, you know when he delivers a package he is like this is a butt plug huh?

I have a big problem with my packages and USPS lately. All of my mail and stuff is coming opened, letters and items removed, and then taped back shut. I have filed more then a few complaints with the Post Office! It's just getting ridiculous. Why are they giving me things that have been opened? What am I supposed to do with empty boxes?
I've switched to UPS and now all my packages are coming in just fine and delivered to my door. Thankfully, all of the merchants I work with have been really cool about it.

No, luckily I've never gotten a really damaged package.
