What is the typical work week like over at the office?

Does wet offer any lubes that are water based, yet still contains a small amount of silicone?

Glad to be here, and thanks for coming Wet!

It's the grade of silicone mixing and breaking down and the additives in the toy usually. We've tested our platinum and synergy on various toys and I've never seen it "eat" anything.

Ugh, stains on hardwood floors are such a pain to get out! Can you try re-staining that portion of the floor to cover it up?

At least you have hardwood, I have carpet! And we rent! I hope stains from the bedroom come out of the floor when we scrub it down. LOL.

Same here. Our Wet Platinum plays nicely with Tantus, Vixen toys, and FunFactory. I haven't tried it on other types of silicone, but it seems to work well on any reputable silicone toy.

We've debated the pump. They tend to leak more in shipping.

I like lubes with pump tops, does Wet currently offer any lubes with pump tops?

Would there be a way to include a regular cap but package a pump with the item, so the user could switch it after they receive the bottle?

Maybe with the pump unattached and just a regular bottle cap on it for shipping. Pumps can be very helpful when your hands are all slippery from lube.

I'm also on the e-mail newsletter list from wet so I get those sampling chances. My husband loved synergy.

How concerned with the environment is Wet? How dangerous are the chemicals used in manufacturing your lubes? Do you do in-plant recycling of materials? Are your bottles made of recyclable plastics? Etc...
08/17/2011
I'm really glad that some (I don't know if all?) of your lubes are made in the USA. Do you have any words about the unique challenges with producing your product here? Do you get your raw materials from American companies too? How big is your supply chain?

I don't know, maybe. I'll say that I'll do it though and 5 years from now it still won't be done. I'm super awesome at getting things done in theory, but I procrastinate!

Like many women, I have sensitive genitals. I do not use lubricants which contain Parabens, glycerin, glycol, urea or any flavoring or "specials" like "tingling" "Warming" or "cooling" chemicals. Because most of our toys are silicon or TPR, we never buy silicon or dimethicone based lubes. I haven't found a Wet lube that meets my needs.
Is Wet considering any lubricants whose ingredient lists are small (Sliquid H20 Ride and Booty Formula only have four ingredients each) and which have no commonly irritating ingredients?
For me, simpler is better. Anything in the works that will be useful for those of us who want a low ingredient list lubricant with no frills. I'm an adult and like my sex to taste and smell like SEX! How about a lube that just.... lubricates with nothing unnecessary or allergenic? less

yes, the pump not inserted works very well, I have had quite a few products come that way, it also gives the consumer the choice to put in the pump or not.

Yes, and air free pumps rarely cause leaking. They are used in everything from lubricants to cosmetics to hand lotion and other things.

I'm really interested in industrial engineering, and I'd love to hear some of the in-house quality controls that you use in your lube producing process.
How different are the processes in silicone lubes vs water-based?
Do you use the same product lines, say, when producing different flavors of flavored lube---do you wash out the lines, or do you have a separate line for each variant of a product?

Haha I hear ya! With as busy as everyone is these days, things like "Staining the floor" are pretty much at the very bottom of the to-do list, lol. Maybe you can buy a throw rug and cover the stain that way in the meantime!
