I can't say for Vixskin, but I've had this happen with Tantus O2 models. Depending on where the core is "placed" in the dildo, the firmness varies. I don't know if the same technique is used for Vixskin, but maybe that helps a bit with your question?

Haven't noticed this myself, I own 3 models, but it makes sense that some variability would be present depending on placement of the core. I like it plan and simple Feels better than any other company IMO.

Duplicate Vixskin models I have appear to have no differences, as to firmness. I do think that some people mistake the standard Vixen model with the Vixskin dual density model. That would explain differing opinions with regard to firmness.

Well, and then there's just plain subjectivity. To me, a certain vibrator might seem like 5 vrooms, whereas to a power queen, it's only 3 or 4. Same goes for ratings on firmness/floppiness! I've seen the same thing on the Tantus VIP Super Soft, as well--some say it's NOT super-soft, while others say it is.
