For in between sizes (for example a 31" waist), do you recommend sizing up or down for the best fit? The SpareParts website recommends sizing up, but I want to be sure that won't wind up being too large, particularly in the pouch region. I would prefer a snug fit and not excess material. Thanks.

I would size up. In my opinion you can grow into it.

Or alter it to make it smaller.

Thanks for the question. I was informed that you contacted us via email as well and already have a response to your question. If you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to contact us again.
For anyone else curious about the answer to this question, both options [either sizing up or sizing down] will work for in between sizes.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Thank you so much for letting us know! That's always good information to know as you can never be too careful when in the middle for sizing.

Maybe it's just me, but personally I'd size up if you're planning on staying the same weight, but definitely down if you plan on losing weight anytime soon. Better tight than too loose and getting looser, in my opinion.

We got the briefs style, and it was a bit of a tight fit, so I'd size up.

It depends whether you want comfort over appearance. D:
