I know Rocks Off Ltd. toys are not to be used with oil based lubes, but does this include natural oils as well as petroleum based ones?

Their silicone toys can be used with oil lubes (provided that they're body-safe lubes based on where the toy's going), I'm not sure about their new InfraMed, though.

LOL! It's the new IntraMed that we've got our eyes on. The thing is, we've spoken to some other manufacturers about their "no oils" rule on toys before, because we tend to use coconut-oil lubes, and several of them have replied and said that it only applied to petroleum-based oils. So that's why we always check.

Actually silicone like Tantus' or Rocks Off, don't break down with petroleum based or natural based oils. They are inert to any material other than silicone which is why some silicone lubricants bond to some silicone toys (again that depends on the grade of toy and the grade of the lube).

I think a lot of people that train the industry tell everyone to stay away from oil based products because they break down latex very quickly. Natural oils will break down latex slower then petroleum, but they still break it down. Now, few products are actually made of latex anymore (since the high percentage of latex allergies) but when it comes to condoms it still applies. Your silicones are completely safe though, so enjoy!!

Thank you for all the feedback Actually, it's the IntraMed material I need to know about though, because I'm not sure what all is in that.

Interesting to know oil-based lubes will work with these. I love oil-based lube and find it makes penetration easier and even seems to "relax" tight spots. So would love to try some of these silicone coated products with a favorite oil-based lube.
