I seem to remember someone finally getting an answer as to what grade of steel the Metal Worx is, and that is was not, in fact, stainless? Help!

Metal Worx is a high grade steel, but not the same grade of stainless steel as more expensive metal toys on the market. The quality of metal worx steel is comparable to medical instruments in a doctor's office. They are completely body safe and the caliber of product that you need for a metal object of pleasure. Are the the same as those other guy's quality of stainless steel? No.

Think about it this way. We have leather products in our Fetish Fantasy Series and it is more affordable than some of the high end leather & BDSM manufacturers out there. Is it good leather? Yes. Is it the same high-end leather that designer manufacturer's make? No.
Both are the more affordable alternative so that people who aren't sure they want to commit to the higher ticket price of those other items can use our products as a stepping stone into that niche. Then if they find they like that niche they can of course upgrade to the designer & high-end lines that are available.
We're here for the beginner and novice mostly. Though some advanced users have given good feedback as well.
I hope this helps.

It's mostly helpful, but you didn't answer my main question, which is what the actual grade of the steel used is. I would really appreciate that info, thank you!

The actual grade of our Metal Worx toys is proprietary information. We don't need other manufacturers knowing the proper mix it takes to get a good, high quality & body safe steel that is still affordable.

The metal worx I got in Dec of 2011 IS stainless steel. Given the magnetic properties of the metal is is likely in the 300 grade austenitic stainless steel family. The cost leads me to belive if it is not in the 300 grades due to the nickel content it might be 201 or 204 which has a higher copper percentage and lower overall cost.
