I just wanted to post this because I feel that it is important for everyone to know, especially if you currently own a Mia or just bought a Mia.
LELO has an entire batch of defective Mias. If you read my review, you know a few things about my Mia - and these would be the defects that many people are experiencing.
1. My Mia only lasted two uses. After that it started to die within 10 seconds or so (yet it would still turn on, but continue to just die). Even if it was charged for hours.
2. My Mia overheated with the use of the USB extension, and eventually started to overheat when plugged directly into the laptop/game console. It would also make a slight humming because it would automatically turn itself on while charging.
3. My Mia didn't REALLY charge. Even though it was plugged in, the Mia would not charge correctly. The light would not blink and the power obviously wasn't increasing as after a while the damn thing wouldn't even turn on. I tried numerous ways to fix this, such as plugging it into my husband's game console, or into a wall charge (USB converter).
4. I didn't have all levels of vibration. There should be 9 levels of increasing intense vibration. Then, after those 9 levels there should be 4 or 5 (sorry I forget) levels of pulsations.
5. The lights on the Mia didn't always turn on when I tried to power up the device, and they didn't always blink when going through the levels.
If you have any of the above issues, your LELO Mia is very likely to be a part of the "bad batch" of defected Mias. You can contact LELO directly, or contact EdenFantasys to make a return or get a replacement.
I have spoken to LELO and they did confirm this:
"Dear Sir or Madam;
Thank you for your email.
In regards to the MIA, it seems we have had a batch of MIA's that have this very issue.
However, this has since been rectified and the supplier contacted, we are now carrying out more stringent tests and have charged and run all of the current MIA's we have in stock."
There is a new and improved Mia (black) coming out soon that is said to have none of these defects. It has not reached EdenFantasys yet, but is currently sold at other stores and at LELO's website. The new Mia also comes in the original colors. It is still simply called the "Mia".
It really was a nice toy with some good power for the first two uses that I got out of it. It's a shame that it didn't live past the second use. Thankfully I should be receiving a new one soon!
Yours truly,
SecretToyLover
