Leather isn’t all about whips and paddles. There are leather pieces for many lifestyles and types of play. If the thought of handcrafted goods appeals to you and you want quality – these pieces are where attention to detail counts. Supple or stiff, quality leather can’t be faked. The same goes for using good hardware and implementing smart design. This all sounds like serious business, right? So how is it that the owner of Leatherbeaten can be so funny and lighthearted? That is not what I expected!
Bill has been all over the forums giving advice and telling it like it is about leather since joining Eden Link. His candor is much appreciated – talking about what it’s really like to work on leather pieces, how a variety of faux-leather is actually terrible for the environment, and how hard it can be to source material locally. Then there are the threads where he gives sex and relationship advice – which has been touching and too funny at times, suggesting some delightful French vanilla ice cream to spice up ball-licking. Ya kinda never know what crazy story or totally left-field suggestion Billy may have next. And I love that! It feels like we actually know this guy – we get his personality, we see that he cares about what we’re saying and takes time to actually hang out with us. That’s just awesome, in my opinion!
I’m betting there’s still a lot to learn about leatherworking, the products, the company and the man! I know I can’t wait to see how this interview unfolds – there will surely be a lot of “huh, wow” moments and laughter too. There’s nothing like an informative yet entertaining read.
Ask as many questions as you’d like; you can even post about and link to the interview from your blog if you want to. Feel free to share your thoughts!
Who doesn’t love a sale and prizes? I’ll be announcing special Leatherbeaten promotions and the prizes for best questions in the interview - stay tuned for those details! I’ll add them to this thread and tweet them
The interview is open for questions from today (November 24th) – December 2nd.
We are so excited for this interview – it’s bound to be both funny and educational! Welcome Billy and Leatherbeaten!
