I bought this candle. It's the first massage candle I have ever had so I don't have any others to compare it to.
Being my first, I expected the oil to be hot.
What I'd like to know though - if the oil hardens again in the tin once the candle is snuffed out, why doesn't it do the same on ya skin????
Candles of different materials burn at different temperatures--I learned that the hard way when I was younger and dropped wax on myself from a FREAKING HOT high-temp one.
The massage candles are very nice. Hot, yes, but not scalding, and they drop to a comfortable 'warm' level quickly. They do moisturize the skin, and it feels kind of like using an oily lotion. Some do better than others at not leaving a residue. There is definitely a difference between the burning hot, masochistic drops of tapered candles and the sensual massage candles.

Curious to see what you think, Shellz31.

I quite like the Passion candle but I don't have any others (yet) to judge it by. It did rub in well ... left a slight oil residue but a lot of things (creams etc) don't like rubbing in on me. So I'm happy with it.
If I had a partner to rub it into or rub it into me, I'd get another massage candle in my christmas order. Maybe I'll just get another one to pamper myself anyway...hehehe.
The Passion candle wasn't hot at all on my skin. It was maybe slightly warmer than my body temp which I was amazed at. I was hesitant at first...lol.
I have tried those Blazing Waxxx candles (ya get 3 sticks in a packet) and they BURN even though they say they burn at a cooler temp. Cooler my butt! I had a burn mark for days after that tiny test.
That's why it took me a little bit to try this type of massage candle. They are a neat idea!
