So, about three months ago I received my first Fleshlight. Aside from not being able to use all the texture, the one thing that drove me nuts was the cleaning. I mean come on, "Rinse with warm water" Are you kidding me, just water? Hell to the NO!
Thus my quest began to find a reason why I could not use my favorite toy cleaner. I am not one to believe everything I hear, especially when someone says "You have to buy this if you want to use soap" Fleshlight sells a toy cleaner, Fleshwash and it has some similar ingredients to Climax Burst. So the testing began
Three months later and many many washings, I am happy to report there has been no damage whatsoever. I did notice that it does become rather sticky after washing, but nothing a little cornstarch does not fix. I am thinking that this is due to it being truly clean. We all know that just putting your hands under some water does not get them clean, same for a sex toy.
Now, I am not saying that you should just start using your favorite toy cleaner on your precious Fleshlight because "Dwtim said I could". But rather, I wanted to let y'all know that they can be cleaned, not just rinsed with water. If you decide you may want to try using a cleaner on yours, start with a small area on one of the outer ribs. Do this a few times and see if there is any effect to the material. If no ill effects are found, go to washing the outside next. Finally when no damage is found, feel free to do the hole thing. This is the process I used. I also followed the directions on the Climax Burst bottle; apply, let stand for 30 seconds and rinse.
I will also mention that I have a second Fleshlight that I only used water for cleaning to use as a control for my research. They both look the same and one feels just as good as the other.
