Tips and tricks?

Contributor: PussyGalore PussyGalore
Hey everyone, I'm new to the world of EF and I have to say I'm having a blast. There's just one little problem I seem to be having and that is navigation, so I turn to you.

Do you have tips and tricks on how to easily access the posts I start or the really interesting threads that are started? I don't want to get a reputation of starting posts and then never responding to them and I find it difficult sometimes to look through wall posts because when I click the 'back' button it goes straight to the first wall page instead of the page I was looking at.

I feel terrible asking such a question given how the general design is awesome, but yeah - I am seriously struggling with this. Thanks!

Use the alerts link under the post title. You can set alerts to be notified of responses to forum threads. Or, on the main forum page, go to the "my discussions" tab and only discussions you've participated show up.

Hope that helps!

Next to the title of a discussion there is a small grey hart. If you click on it, it will turn orange. Then when you come to the forum you can click on the tab "My favorite discussions" and you will find it there.

I will add, if there is a contributor you like you can click the little hart by their name and it will turn green. There is a tab that says "favorite contributor". This does the same kind of thing.

Finaly, the last tab will show all the discussions you have posted on.

Hope that helps.

It does, it does! Thank you! I was really starting to feel rather dumb and I've been doing this internet thing since ICQ and AOL were THE THING TO BE ON MAN! Haha!

Each site has its own tricks to learn. Glad I could help. There are lots of us that will help so do not be afraid to ask.

Will do! I have noticed you all are really really nice. My husband had been begging me to get off the social networking sites because the rampant levels of idiocy were driving me insane and then I found this place and thought JACKPOT!
