I've only gotten a few romance novels before, and I don't know how to tell yet if the book will be good both sexually and story-wise, do you have any tips for choosing a really good erotic romance novel? I was also wondering if this particular book has those qualities, because I'm really into normal steampunk.

Sadly, there are no guarantees. It's not uncommon for a book to receive great marks from one reviewer and be marked for burning by another. I would say look for reviewers who seem to have similar tastes, and use them as a guide. I doubt you'll find someone you agree with 100% of the time, but if you have similar tastes, your chances of enjoying what they positively review go up.

I recently purchased Steamlust but haven't had time to delve into it because of deadlines. All I've read so far is the foreword by Meljean Brook who writes the Iron Seas series which I would recommend to romance and steampunk junkies.
