No pouches with Don Wands toys anymore?

So I've had the Bent Graduate on one of my wish lists forever and finally bought it last week. I'm pretty upset that the packaging has changed and Don Wands is no longer including the padded pouches (or anything at all) with the Bent Graduate. Actually it's not that they aren't including it that makes me mad, it's that it's not stated anywhere that all you get is a box and a plastic clamshell insert. Unless you read the latest reviews or look at the last picture for the blue one, it's not stated.

Had I known this before purchasing, I would have went with the SSA Amethyst instead. It would have been $5 less and at least included some sort of storage pouch.

All my other Don Wands have had padded pouches included. If you're going to change the packaging and leave this out, then let people know that it's changed! The product page should also be updated and any information about a storage pouch being included should be removed.

I do love the Bent Graduate, but I wish I had gotten the Amethyst instead.

Arg! That was one of my favorite things about Don Wands. They had the best pouches.

As far as I know, it's just happening with the Bent Graduate. I just received the Purple Swirl for a video review, and it came with the pouch still. Or it could be that eventually, it's going to be all of their glass toys once the ones with pouches go out of stock.

I plan to check with the company, and include that info with my Purple Swirl review. It really is a bummer, maybe we could convince EF to carry the pouches a la carte!

Yeah it's a real bummer. I wish that they'd at least mention that it doesn't come with a pouch. DW's pouches are the best I've found! It irritates me when a company changes something like that and doesn't inform their customers.

I'd definitely buy them if EF carried the pouches a la carte, and I'm sure a lot of people also would.

I'm disappointed. It's hard to store glass toys well. I have the purple swirl, too, and I love the thickly padded pouch it came with.

I wonder why they are discontinuing the pouches?

I just got an email back from Bo. Sadly, he said due to rising costs, they will no longer be including the pouches with any Don Wands glass wands.

He did say you can order them directly from the company, they are $12 with a $9.99 shipping and handling charge. He gave me the option of ordering them directly through him, and said he would get it out to me within 4 business days.

I really, REALLY hope Eden will be able to carry these pouches a la carte. Ideally I'd love to have one for each of my glass toys!

(As an aside, I saw the new packaging for the Wands, and it reminds me a LOT of the packaging my Icicles No. 24 came in - a cardboard box with what looks like a styrofoam insert holding the wand.)

Aw that's sad. I guess I'm glad to see that they are offering the pouches directly through them. $12 seems like a great price, but no way would I pay $10 for shipping; that just seems absurd. Plus for $10 shipping, I would expect next day shipping.

Hopefully EF will be able to stock these! I'd love to be able to buy the pouches a la carte.

Thanks for asking indiglo!

It just sounds like an excuse for them to make more money selling them separately.
