UR3 Latex Free.. or Not?

Contributor: Liz x420x Liz x420x
So it seems like eden fantasy is the only website that lists UR3 as Latex free and other sites list it as containing Latex. Does anyone know whether or not it does contain latex or not?

Hi there,

UR3 material latex free and as per Doc Johnson - all the rubber they produce is latex free. UR3 is also phthalate free with skin like feel. Very stretchy and durable, yet soft to the touch and made domestically in the USA.

Thanks for letting us know, Maxim! I actually had no idea about UR3 either, so it's good to know.

Hi All,
Sorry for my delay! Yes, all of the UR3 and rubber that DJ produces is latex free. The only items that have Latex in them are the expandable butt plugs.

If all of DJ rubber products are Latex free why does the packaging not state this and neither does DJs website or Eden Fantasys site?

Just to list a few toys that I have actually thrown away due to the fact they are not listed as latex free on any site or the packaging...

Its hard for me tell, as most of these items are shot in bulk. But the packaging does state our items are latex free in the Sil A Gel logo. Im not sure when you purchased these items, but this logo has been on our items for a few years now.

I have a few Sil A Gel toys that do state that they are latex free on Eden Fantasys and on the packaging, but that doesnt cover all of the other rubber toys that are not sil a gel or ur3, like the ones I posted in my links.

You stated that all DJ rubber is latex free and I just dont understand where you are getting this info?

Thankfully my latex sensitivity is minor but Latex allergies/sensitivity can be extremely severe for some people and info like this should be very straight forward and not misleading.

One more question to add to the other ones I have already asked but what is ur5/R5? Is it just another name for sil a gel? If not what is the difference between ur3, sil a gel and ur5?

I've worked at Doc Johnson for over 7 years. I know what goes in our products as part of my training and experience with this company. Doc Johnsons rubber is vinyl based, not latex. Sil A Gel is an ingredient in our rubber. It is not the actual rubber itself.
UR5 and UR3 are different rubbers that we poor. UR3 is softer, and more skin like. UR5 is a bit firmer and more suitable for cocks and dildos. The UR3 is better for vaginas, but we do make dildos out of UR3 as well, for people that prefer the softer feel.

Hi Everyone!

Kerin, thank you for clarifying what ingredients are used and not used in Doc Johnson products!

As per manufacturer - Doc Johnson's UR3, UR5, and rubber products are latex free!

Thanks for the reply Kerin and for answering all my questions I appreciate it. Hopefully Maxim can pass the message along to EF and they can update all of their DJ Products so they are properly listed as latex free! I am sure that it would help the sales of DJ products.

I have some products made of UR3. I also have a latex sensitivity so I get some irritation from latex products. The UR3 doesn't make me feel irritated so I would agree there is no latex in them.
