OK, now we’re going to switch stitches. This will be your pattern until you get the pouch to your desired length.

You’re going to chain two. Then it’s a half-double crochet all the way around. One in each stitch.

This is between the single and the double. You're going to start the stitch like a double with the yarn looped over the hook, but when you pull through, you're going to pull through all 3 stitches one time, instead of two at a time.

When you complete your first round, it should look like this:

That's pretty awesome. I'm always amazed at what kinds of "adult" things you can find on Etsy.
oh, there's lots, including some very decently priced glass dildos that are unlike a lot that I've seen before. I'm quite intrigued.

There's also beautiful floggers and whips and paddles... and *drool*

I don't either. I haven't tried knitting. I have made many attempts to crochet. The chain always comes out all twisted and funky looking. I think it is because I'm a lefty. I sew by hand to make crafts and I cross stitch.

NEXT The really FUN part!

Now, you’ll take your ball of yarn, sit in front of the TV and crochet your little heart out until you get it to the desired length you want it. I made mine about 9 inches to accommodate the Blue Swirl G

This is what my bag looked like before I put the finishing touches on it.

Just keep your toy close by to keep a close look on how it fits. Crochet stretches a little, so you might not need as much length as you think.

So cute! I have to practice first then find a really cool color.

If you want to make a thicker bag than this, you can always get a bulky or chunky yarn. Remember that you'll need a bigger hook and fewer stitches to accommodate the change in yarn. BUT, you can find some awesome yard that would make a great padded bag!

I just don't have the patience to sit down and DO anything for that long.

I never manage to finish blankets because of this, but this project literally takes about an hour!

How long does it take you to make one of these?

Almost done guys!

For the top I used a lattice finish. I used a double crochet stitch. You can use a half double crochet stitch, or even a triple crochet stitch. It just depends on the width of the ribbon you want to use! So, now, chain 3. Then, double crochet into the next stitch. Then chain one. Skip one stitch, then double crochet into the next stitch (leaving one in between). Do this all the way around, then slip stitch to join!

It will look a little something like this:

Its like reading a book. You do it a little at a time.

about an hour! Maybe two in front of the TV if I get distracted by what I'm watching. (keep an eye on other pics to come to see what I mean!)

Can't use the lefty excuse. I'm a lefty too!

Yeah, but you have to learn how to crochet, first, and that takes ages and ages.

No, it's easy! Blankets and scarves are EASY! Just rows and rows and rows.
