Kindred has been with us just over a year. Since then he's not only become a staple of this community, offering a helpful hand to anybody in need, he's also given us some incredibly thorough reviews and extremely creative videos.
"I discovered Eden Fantasys about a year ago while shopping for sex toys for the first time. EF came up on a Google search and I was immediately impressed with the selection as well as the information available, including the reviews. I think I lurked around the site for a few weeks exploring when I stumbled across information on the review program. The offer of free sex toys in exchange for writing a review definitely lured me in. I had recently given up on my online gaming obsession and decided I needed a new hobby so I gave it a shot. After reading tons of reviews, I was pretty sure I could do a decent job but decided to get a mentor just in case. Since then, I've expanded into doing video reviews and becoming a mentor myself.
I published my first review in September of 2010 and I have been hooked ever since. Although the free toys drew me in, it is definitely the community that keeps me coming back. I've been involved with other online communities, but never one that was so caring and supportive. I found a safe and encouraging community to explore sex and my own sexuality. While I do hide my identity, it's not because of any fear from the EF community, but rather to protect myself from those outside the community that are less understanding. I have only been active in the community for about 8 months, but I have made close friends that I have no doubt would come to my aid if needed. In a certain sense, I feel indebted to EF for providing this wonderful place for me to learn and grow.
In terms of advice, ask almost any reviewer and I think the first thing they will say is to get a mentor. Everyone, even people with experience, can benefit from the mentor program. Also, read other reviews to get an idea of what type of information to include. However, EF has so much more to offer than just the review program. The community is constantly growing and exploring new features such as the new clubs and workshops. There is so much that it can actually be overwhelming. Just find something that interests you and get involved. And ask questions. Everyone is so friendly and supportive, there really is no reason for anyone to feel shy or afraid. There is no other online community such as EF, take advantage of all it has to offer."
TacoODoom has been with us since January of 2010, and while she's not as active as Kindred in the community, she's still given us a bunch of great reviews and just did a big and awesome Eden Gives Back project.
"Best advice another reviewer ever gave you: Spell check, grammar check, and wait till the next day to proof-read before you submit!
Most challenging review you've written and why: I have a harder time writing reviews for stuff I really like, I think it's easier for me to break down why I DON'T like something and how it could be improved than for me to explain what makes something great in my opinion.
How did you hear about EdenFantasys and the review program: I was looking for reviews of a rather expensive toy, before I plonked down the cash, and google led me to EF!
What got you to stay: The free stuff, lol. No actually it was how friendly and involved all the staff are, and the community is full of great people who, for the most part are genuinely kinda and willing to offer advise even if your asking how to stop your pantyhose from running.
How did you feel when you started reviewing: Excited! The hubby and I like exploring different avenues of our sexual selves and reviewing has allowed us to try some things we may not have picked out on our own.
Do you have any advice for people just starting out: Baby wipes by the bed make for easy clean-up when your too shagged out to move, oh and spell-check."
