Lol, I'm not too bad. That meeting was definitely something though, I highly recommend reading through it if you get a chance. But I don't want to keep anybody from asking you guys questions, so I'll pipe down about that.
Ha--I just sneaked over and took a look at the last page of the meeting's discussion. I'll definitely have to go back and read it--if only for the discussion on wine (of which I am definitely not an expert, but I am still interested).

Doing well, sitting outside in sunny southern California watching the sun go down over the mountains. Dang pretty out today.
Jealous!

Speaking of wine in my previous post, you're very close to some awesome wine country . . . (More jealous . . .)

Sounds like the view outside my window (only it's not that cold out there . . .).

I'm partial to the east coast, unless you're talking about Hawaii!

You said it. I live in San Jose right now, just across the bay from the famous Napa wine country. You can take tours where you ride a bus around to a dozen different winerys in an afternoon and you don't have to worry about driving yourself around. Those get to be a little rowdy sometimes.

At the moment I'm in the mountains outside of Santa Barbara and the cliffs turn an intense shade of bright pink just as the sun goes down. One of my favorite sights.

So for both of you, something simple.

What's your favorite type of pizza?

Ah, that sounds amazing! (I know who I'm contacting for advice when we finally book a tour of the wine country! My husband and I have been wanting to visit for a LOOOONG time.)

(I has no windows to look out right now)

But if I could, it would be dark, and pretty chilly.

To SS, I know it's not review related, but I would love to hear an update about your schooling and how things are going?

Ooooh, I would love to go visit the Napa wine country. I'm definitely not a connoisseur by any means, but I find the whole process fascinating.

I love the ones that use non-standard sauces like alfredo or BBQ sauce. Probably my favorite is a grilled chicken pizza with a ranch sauce. Mmmm

I like artisan and Naple-style pizzas that are cooked in a wood-burning oven. Toppings can vary (and testing a variety of ingredient combinations is always a welcome experience for me!). I love fresh basil on all pizzas though and would be happy with only tomato and basil. I also love meat-lover's combos, so I can go either total carnivore or vegetarian and be happy!

I am currently between semesters and loving the break (though I have been insanely busy with other unexpected aspects of life--but that's just life, right? Totally unexpected happenings! ).

I do love going to school, though I really don't want my break to end . . .

Doing a wine tour is a great idea, there are lots of areas to choose from. If you want to cover a large area and see lots of landscape, I would visit the winerys around San Louis Obispo and Paso Robles. The movie Sideways features this area.

If you like doing active stuff, the Napa area has winerys close together and you can bike or even run to several in a day. Napa is absolutely gorgeous country though.

Mmmm . . . I really like a small amount of barbecue sauce on a pizza with chicken breast, red onions, and (sometimes) pineapples . . .

Ooooh, that does sound tasty. I've had a pizza with alfredo sauce once, and it was one of the most delicious pizzas I've ever had.

Thanks for the suggestions! (BTW, I absolutely LOVE the movie Sideways. Another great movie about the California wine country is Bottle Shock.)

Welcome. Hawks are back on, so i'll likely be going back to that but I want to thank you both for being amazing contributors. I've certainly learned from both of you since you've been here. I remember when you first starting reviewing. I was blown away by your first few reviews!

Why does almost every thread wind up either talking about food or zombies? And I'm now starving!

My sis has been taking me to a place that does artisan style pizzas lately, they are really growing on me. I love any food cooked over a wood fire and I have been trying and so far failing to find a way to make pizzas on my backpacking trips.

Did that come from dominos by chance? I saw you can do that as an option now!

Speaking of pizza, does anyone else fold theirs to let the grease drip out the back or is that just a NY thing?

Right! Bottle Shock covers the Napa area in the 1970's before California was considered a serious wine producer. For all you Severus Snape fans, Alan Rickman does a great job in this film.
