Illusional has been a member of this fantastic community since February of 2010. In that time not only has she been active in as many things as she can be, she also graduated from the mentor program three times! She is one dedicated reviewer who always goes the extra mile to make sure her reviews are the best they can be.
"The best advice another reviewer gave me was slow down. Honestly it sounds cheesy, but sitting there, re-reading it outloud really keeps me from making some big slips. People have busy lives and it's easy to overlook things.
The most challenging review I've ever had? Porn Reviews. I simply couldn't see how I could describe a movie without giving it away. I mean, if you give it away, what would make them purchase the film?
I found EdenFantasys purely out of frustration. I had googled "adult sex toy shops" and came across one. (I won't mention names). They had some nice products but no reviews, no descriptions, nothing. My mom calls me frugal and I'll admit I am. I'm not going to spend money on something willy nilly. So I went back to Google and came across EdenFantasys. There were tons of reviews, plus I could put out my own voice. I didn't get active until a few months later. My boyfriend and I were having issues, so to vent I made a forum post. I didn't expect any answers but lots of real people answered. I was hooked on the community pretty instantly. I was pretty nervous about starting out reviewing. I still am, there's so many reviewers I look up to I take every vote seriously.
My advice for people just starting out? Don't be afraid to ask. Mishaps can be avoided if you simply ask. The mentor program also is one of the best things out there. Utilize it! Also, you can try as many different mentors as you please! It's a big community out there on EdenFantasys, and it's amazing to be a part of it!"

Sir is another reviewer you should know by now. Joining us all the way back in 2008, he's left his mark on the site with a personal store and by becoming a mentor.
"When I was first starting reviewing, some of the best advice I got was to answer my own questions. If I was purchasing this product, what would I want to know? What things would be important to me? Now, that's what I base all of my reviews on, and I'm still trying to keep length to a good size so that it doesn't give the reader a headache or leave them with questions unanswered. One of the reviews that I had the hardest time writing was my review on the SpareParts Theo harness. It really just was not an enjoyable review to write, I'm not sure why exactly. Perhaps because I didn't know what information was necessary and what could be looked over at the time. Ah well, we live and learn!
I found Edenfantasys through general searching on the internet, read some reviews, made purchase, and decided to write some reviews of my own. I eventually found the forums, and I really got into answering threads with questions or clicking my responses for polls. Tons and tons of fun, I love giving my opinion! It's enjoyable to talk to people and see what their ideas are on topics that you feel strongly about; it's also a great learning experience. I've learned a lot about toy materials and toy use from writing for Edenfantasys and being part of the community, so it's been a really great past few years (three now, actually).
For new people to the community and to reviewing, I give the same advice as I got when I started out: answer your own questions and maybe your partner's questions too. Another set of eyes or ears always helps. Entering the mentor program helps too, especially if you get a good mentor to look over your reviews. The most important thing of all, however, is to just have fun with it and enjoy yourself!"
