When my first daughter was born I was working as a waitress for a mid level restaurant. My qualifications to work were oddly scattered and Sigel had a better resume. We weren't on great terms with my extended family so it seemed that I would have been working only to pay for a babysitter. When Sigel heard how much daycare was in our area he decided that it made more economic sense for me to stay home. This was the harsh reality we told ourselves but the real reason was we wanted our babies to be raised at home by us. Sigel liked the idea of supporting his family and the division of workload worked for us. When we decided to home school the kids it just sort of solidified our decision, and we have hot regretted the sacrifices we have made.

I like spinach alfredo pizza with smoked bacon and mushrooms!
In five years I would like to have my whole family living under one roof...minus the girls if they are in college. Still they are still there during college for the most part, right?
In ten years I am hoping to own our own place, have the girls graduated and launched successfully and have the baby starting middle school. I hope to have about 700+ reviews by then as well
I think right now I would pick a bicycle, as odd as it sounds. I love to ride them and my weight is the highest it has ever been...I think it would be good exercise and a great teaching tool.
Outside of Eden I am a gamer...though not as heavily or as rabid as Arch!

Pagan is a catch all term. It would be like trying to explain what a mono-theist is!
We can be characterized as believing in more than one Deity, our beliefs are not drawn from a sacred book, and we are very diversified after that.
I, for instance, am an eclectic Wiccan from the Nativist Tradition. I am also a member of the Order of Isis and have studied various native paths. I can also be called a Christo-Wiccan as I do not denounce the teachings of Christ but do not follow them as prescribed by Christian Churches. Sometimes it's just easier to say I'm Pagan since I seem to be all over the board in my spiritual practices.

Holy cow....wow! Oddly enough the Vr4.5 is damn near perfect for my body. I would jazz up the thumping power just a bit and give it the ability to go full blast for much longer than mine is capable. Other than that the design of the toy is absolutely perfect...maybe I would add a great anal toy with separate vibe? I waffle on that point though.

I always wished I had not given up on my theater dreams...I don't regret where I am now but I do love to perform! I wish i could just sit my ass down and finally write the book I have been toying around with for a few years as well.
To be totally honest, if I am successful as a homeschooling Mom then I am doing exactly what I would want to be doing.

Someday though I am going to finish my vet tech degree just because I have always loved and been good at working with animals!

Ooh, this is tough.

I think, overall, I really like the fresh loaf .com, which is a huge baking forum. You can get lots of quick handy recipes (and their top pita bread recipe is the best one I've ever found), and you can also read a bunch in forums to see how people are focusing on improving their bread. You can get good ideas from everything from the most simple baguette to the super soft Mrs. Baird's bread for Texas Toast for people who don't like hard breads... to English Muffins and beyond. And no matter what you can find what suits your baking style best since it's forum-based.

I also read Michael Ruhlman's posts pretty often... but I have mixed feelings about that. He has such a pompous attitude, but his ideas always taste good. Maybe someday I'll be a good enough cook that I'll be able to make my own good stuff so I don't have to listen to his pompousness anymore. But, til then... nobody else shows off how to make corned beef, so what can I do?

My favorite pizza... blue cheese and walnuts with a white sauce?

In 5 years I see myself, oh, well, the general-case answer is hard, but since this is a Sunday in June, I'm going to cheat and say "coming home from a camping trip." I would like to live in a home, not an apartment, by that time frame, for sure. In 10 years, maybe have some published papers that are well-recognized in my field? Even if I'm working in industry instead of research?

If I could have only one vehicle, it'd be a nice lightweight manual transmission pickup truck that was easy to repair and completely rust-free.

Outside of Eden, I really like... oh, is it cheating to say cooking?

Oh my.

How about the Eleven, with electrostimulation (that did *not* simultaneously zap my hand.)

So, a double ended dildo (S-shape, not C-shape) with two different ends for easy warmup, that is very weighty and well-tapered, but also with a nice neck so there's a 'pop' past the pubic bone. And e-stim.

If you mean literally anything, I'd like to participate in the Homestead-act equivalent of populating & cultivating a new planet

In the real world, I'm pretty happy with my chosen field.

Thank you for the awesome questions so far, everyone!!

Airen, if you had to choose, would you live in a country which promised religious freedom, or a country where the government integrated some form of Pagan faith into the cultural structure?

Antipova, have I already mentioned that you are awesome? I love this answer!

For both ladies...what sort of books do you like to read, and do you prefer paperback, hardback, or electronic books?

So are you, Ms N! Thanks,

I prefer paper books---hardback and paperback are both just fine by me (although I usually read paperbacks out and about, and hardbacks at home. I don't have an e-reader. I do appreciate Project Gutenberg, though.

I ... guess I read mostly non-fiction (wow, I'm boring)... economics-based books, biographies and histories... but I also do enjoy plenty of fiction. Growing up I was a big Heinlein fan, and I like short stories a lot too (Willa Cather is what I've been reading lately )

Both of those sound great but to be honest I would just like to live in a Country where religious freedom is a given and so totally not an issue. Let me be free to live as I choose and to be responsible for those decisions, in a mature way not an "I told you so..." way.
I think if people will stop worrying about the "one right and true way" integration of all faiths into the cultural structure will be a given.
The main problem I have is I DO live in a Country that promises religious freedom and tried to integrate all faiths...but the wrong way. Faith is a nebulous little creature that can't be pinned down and defined. By nature it is undefinable, but you know it if'n you got it!
What I would love is a Country where living as inoffensively as possible was celebrated instead of being looked at with suspicion. Where being happy was the expectation rather than the pipe dream. I'd love my Country to really embrace religious freedom and tolerance but that begins inside the average citizen. It begins when we look past the fear of the unknown to the possibility of what could be.
That scary pagan could be the best friend you have ever had when you need him/her most...and surely there is a place in Heaven for that!

What a great question Antipova!

As a follow up to this post: If you could be on the committee that writes the Homestead-Act for a new planet what would you consider to be a successful conclusion to the discussions? What sorts of prohibitions and allowances would you insist are needed? How do you see the planet being cultivated?

I am a voracious reader and I am all over the board when it comes to what I like to read. I love reading classics, great literature, down and dirty erotica, lofty sci-fi, mystery, fiction and even the occasional non-fiction/biography.
I prefer my books to be hardback but I have a very large paperback collection. I have crazy bad allergies to paper mold so having lots of paperbacks is terrible for my poor sinuses. My friend got me an e-reader but I am a bit leery of it. mainly because it's new technology and I'm kind of a technophobe. As soon as I get comfortable with it I suspect I'll have a very large and diverse collection on it.

Depends which friends! Some friends would definitely be surprised to find out I contribute to EF, while others would be surprised to find out that I didn't always like math.

My most immediate personal goal involves, basically, getting a full-time job in my field.

I really love Toejam & Earl for Sega Genesis... it's so unique!

Oooooh, good question.

I think I would have everyone write something that really stretches a component of their skills---like I would encourage everyone to write two stories with the same character and setting (but different plots could be happening), but in one really focus on the character development and in the other really focus on the setting.

Hard to say, though, I would like to take a lot of club input!

I would really love to go to... some tea growing region. Southern India, or Southeast China? And have some super high-quality teas. That's my dream vacation this week, at least

My favorite (I think this might have been asked before? But if it was, I forget what I said last time, so if you ask me today... ) was the Jopen Intensity, because I got to find out how much I love electrostimulation. My least favorite might have been the Dr. Vibe attachment for the Fairy Mini because I had such a crummy customer service experience with the manufacturer.
