It says here, link , that you're eligible for parole in 15-35 years (or never.)

I was wrong. A life sentence is you're whole life, except for the possibility of parole. I was confused by the phrase '25 to life.'

That's what I was referring to "25-life", which is what I thought you were talking about since LIFE is forever obviously. Sorry, I too got confused. You can get a life sentence with or without the possibility for parole.

Apparently he was under impression that he could get out in 9.5 years because of an indiscriminate sentence but only if corrections decides to let him out. They say he didn't know about the life sentence til after trial.
