I concur. I think we're getting at the same thing but dancing around it at slightly different speeds. For instance, I tried to frame everything I said in terms of "for me," etc, in my second go-round because that's how I, as a submissive, view my submission, and the submission of the subs I tend to gravitate towards as friends. And yes, I do get the difference between what you are actually saying and what the book is portraying - I suppose I'm just overly self-obsessed and tend to relate everything i read back to myself.

And now that I've brought up the subject of readings in NYC, I'll add that D.L. King and I will be doing one combining our two anthologies, her The Harder She Comes and my Girl Fever: 69 Stories of Sudden Sex for Lesbians (some of them definitely of the kinky persuasion.) This reading will be on June 6th at Bluestockings, and will include five or six of our contributors. Always fun!
