I don't see any reason why not. If you have an e-reader you can have it before the meeting is over.

Hi Petite Valentine! The stories are all steampunk and all written around the concept of imaginative sex toys and devices that might have--should have been invented and perhaps would have been invented in a parallel universe.

Each story has it's own take on the theme. There are a couple of lesbian tales, a gay tale, some fem dom (of course, it is my book...) and a couple of stories of a more romantic nature. You'll have to read the book to see which ones do it for you!

I've read the whole book, and loved it, and reviewed it on Amazon--and right now I can't find my copy to jog my memory of the story titles. My favorite is probably the one with the dirigible, because I'm a pushover for both flying machines and gender ambiguity.

Hi Elizabeth, you came out of lurk! Glad you're here. You should tell everyone about the book you're writing based on the story. (fans self) Damn, that is one hot read!
Ah, yes. The House of Sable Locks picks up where The Succubus left off. Mostly because that Silver Lady got into my brain and refused to get out! There was a lot more to her story, and that manuscript is currently with my beta readers.

It was interesting to write because I am in no way, shape, or form a scientist, so when the time came to write in the actual science.... I kinda faked it. And got caught. Luckily, I had the benefit of a lovely gentleman with degrees in physics who volunteered to take all my handwavium pseudo-science and actually make it do what I wanted it to do, and explained it in words of one syllable so that I could understand to write it!

I will hopefully be shopping it around to publishers this fall or winter, depending on the feedback from my betas.

Hi Sacchi! That is "Lucifer Einstein and the Curious Case of the Carnal Contraption." I love that story. It's by Tracey Shellito, a writer in the UK.

And thanks so much for the review on Amazon! For those of you who read or are reading the book, I LOVE Amazon reviews, just sayin'...

I am about halfway through Playing WIth Fire as well. I started reading that one first and then stopped to read Carnal Machines when we switched the order. I am really enjoying both!

I'll look forward to seeing this in print (or ebook) soon--sounds great. And having a science adviser could be ... quite delightful in its own right.

I've only read about the first half of Carnal Machines because I had to quickly start and finish Playing With Fire to review it, but I've loved many of the stories I've read so far. Deviant Devices (I think? was the title) and others that involved clockwork have been some of my favorites.
