Have you ever had beer and clamato juice? I think it's pretty much the same thing, only not spicy at all. That's definitely an acquired taste for sure, but also pairs surprisingly well with a sharp cheddar.

Yup, 'tis good but I like the spiciness. I like it though. Not surprised about the cheddar - cheddar mixes surprisingly well with a multitude of things. Also, just fyi, I do NOT make my Bloody Marys with horseradish. I think it's unnecessary at best and the ruination of the drink at worst. Just warning ya, if you don't like it, best to ask the bartender first before ordering one and ask him/her to leave it out if that's the way they make it. Also, it can be made with gin instead of vodka, so there's that, too. I like it with either but the Absolut Peppar gives it a bit more bite so it has an added appeal though generally, I like gin a thousand times more than vodka.
