I came across this book while watching a netcast. Apparently it is an open-source, community created book of erotica that had started as a challenge to see if they could rival the 50 shades of gray phenomenon. From what I have heard, each of the books chapters is written by a different person with no one having any knowledge of what the others are writing. Apparently, it got to #4 on itunes here in the U.S. and even beat one of the gray's books in Canada. I am wondering if anyone else here has heard of or read this book. I am also curious if eden lit has ever tried or is willing to try doing something similar.

That sounds like a great writing exercise! Could be loads of fun...but how do they keep continuity? Do they all start with a sort of story start and then write from there? How would you suggest doing something similar?

As I understand it, the only continuity in the story is that all of the events are happening to the main character. There also may have been some continuity created from the fact that the first two chapters were written and distributed to the other writers before the other chapters were written. As to how implement it here, maybe do a rough outline of a singular element, such as a main character or setting, and see what comes from it.

It sounds like it is an anthology of stories. Like the Sherlock Holmes Omnibuses you can get or some of the Star Wars or Star Trek books that came out a decade or so ago where people wrote short stories involving the characters. (Or a TV show or Comic book series where each show or issue is a different story).
