#EdenLit - Assignments for December/January Eden Lit Club

Contributor: Airen Wolf Airen Wolf
Assignment List for December/January 2012

The Eden Lit Club is trialing a new feature this Month called Critical Review this is a more in depth look at the work and some pointers on form and readability. Instead of discussing what we liked about the work we will actually discuss the work in question with a more critical eye. You, as the writer, will choose to write on the topic and then include the words "critical review" with the submission so the club knows to bring it up at the meeting. This should help us elevate our writing and give some more timid writers some confidence!

Our topics for the January Meeting are:
*Critical Review Topic- New Beginnings or Starting Over We are going to get the ball rolling this Month with a nod to the New Year. This topic is very broad and can include just about anything pertaining to starting over and new beginnings. If you choose this topic please indicate that this is the critical review topic so we can give you some really good feedback!
*Choices- Yup it's January again and a new year. What are some choices you have made in the past year (or in your life) that are infleuencing you now? Do you need to make some choices? Perhaps you have a favorite character in a story you are writing that has to make some choices...you get the idea!
*Open Topic- Tell us what's on your mind or blow us away with your eroticism! Your choice, your topic. If you would like a critical look at your work just indicate and we will accommodate the request as time permits.

If you are interested in writing for the club simply mail your work as an attachment to (Rayne at edenfantasys dot com) with the subject line being Eden Lit Submissions. If this is your first time writing for our club please include a small autor's bio for the blog, it doesn't have to be fancy but we'd all love to know a little bit about you!

Our deadline for submissions is December 26, 2011 and we have a limit of three submissions per author per month. If you consent to your work being published on the Eden Lit Blog you will receive a $10 gift card for and from EdenFantasys, per submission, up to a total of $30.
The deadline will be enforced and any pieces sent in after the date will be posted but may be posted after the meeting if time doesn't permit.

We are asking for finished pieces and a maximum of three pieces per author please indicate if your piece should recieve critical review. This is subject to change in the future depending on the popularity of the club.

There is no set writing style, the pieces can be anything from poetry to raunchy erotic literature. If your piece needs an introduction please include it with the submission to Rayne.
This club is open to everyone, not just writers. The pieces will be published during the two weeks before the next meeting of the writer's club, where we hope to see all of you!

If I don't get something in in the critical review topic, you can go ahead and use anything I submit if there aren't any others. I have no problem being the first. (Assuming I get something in).

I missed the deadline, but have something started. If I get it finished today or tomorrow, I will send it in just in case. Sorry, the holidays really got busy.

Edit: I started out this morning and had half a page of story down (250-300 words) and figured a few more pages and it would be finished. Really no problem to get it done. It is now 8 1/2 pages long (5,100 words) and I still have at least a couple pages of story left to finish. Hopefully Rayne can get it up if I turn it in late. I haven't been this inspired since February.

Okay, it was really late, but I hope it can get posted. Oddly no kink this time. Not my longest story, but definitely back to my normal writing style. Thanks to Airen and the group for the topic inspiration.

Serialized stories are allowed (as far as I know). If they don't fit with the current month's theme it can always go in the "other" category. I know I have a serialized story, the first chapter of which was put out for consideration for the book, and I would love to add some chapters to it at some point.
