This one, I am not sure where it came from. I think it has to do with the strange horror fiction marathon I have been on. So its really really dark...


Feed me anger
Oh fuel me pain
Screw up my happiness
Drive me insane

Atrophy my bliss
Steal it all away my friend
No goodbye kiss
So my heart will never mend

Rip me open
And eat me out
With desperation
I scream and shout

Pore down the blood
Such an atrocity
All this sadness
Can’t be good for me

Shove it all down
Down my throat
Make me gag
Make me choke

Enjoy your pleasure
Enjoy my pain
Wonder if
I’m really sane

Hide the sugar
Just be blunt
Give me betrayl
Savor the cunt

The power
In evil it lays
So being brutal
Really pays

Cute me deeper
My little thorn
Dig into me

Ooh harsh. It makes me cringe and feel uncomfortable. Good job! I really like the last stanza, it punches the whole idea of the poem for me into place.

WOW that did come from a dark place. Did you feel a sense of relief as it came pouring out? I often experience that when a terribly dark piece takes wing.
I know this seems harsh and horror filled but I see it as a sort of warning as well. Like your inner self is telling you what could happen if you continue some destructive habit or continue the self loathing. I wonder what your inner being would write if the situation reverses itself? Hell, I wonder what MY inner being would write if I changed my self views...I am thinking there'd be rainbows and kitty cats involved some how.
Good poetry makes us think well beyond the reading of the words. You have accomplished that goal! Brava!

I read this yesterday, and I couldn't reply then as it was just really just too dark for me.

It still is very dark for me, but I can see the beauty in it today that I couldn't see yesterday.

I really liked the way you described it as "sadistic porn". And let me just point out? Rob Zombie would be so proud!

When I look back on when I was writing there was a moment where I was reading it over to check for places where my fingers might have tripped over one another, and when I got to the end I let out a breath that I didn't even realize I had been holding. So yeah, it really was a bit of relief that came out.

Even reading it now I can see more things in it that I hadn't seen when I was writing it myself.
