Blogger or Wordpress?

Contributor: Septimus Septimus
My fiance is thinking about starting a blog (not related to sex toy reviewing)* and he's not sure if he should use WordPress or Blogger.
I use blogger, but I'm mostly just playing around, ranting about stuff and having fun with it.
He's looking to have a more serious professional-grade blog and wants hosting that will reflect that.
He will probably eventually want his own domain name and hosting, so we're not really sure which program to go with.
Any advice?

*His blog will not have any "adult" content, so policies regarding such aren't really a concern for us

I like WordPress and would recommend it to anyone. The way it's set up allows beginners to just write without worrying about the nuts and bolts of a blog. But it does allow for growth and individuality depending on what you want out of it.

WordPress is the ideal content management system, whether you're new to blogging or have been around for a while. I'd definitely recommend WordPress. And if your fiance decides he'd like to upgrade from a free host to his own, with a domain, WordPress provides simple tools for that as well.

Since he's wanting a more professional looking blog, I'd probably go with wordpress like everyone else has suggested. Blogger is great for free stuff, but I'm not sure I'd think of them if someone said professional.
