As many of you may know, the Eden Photographers Club is going to be soliciting photos from the EdenFantasys community so that we can create a 2012 EdenFantasys wall calendar.
A few weeks ago, we had a brainstorming meeting where we all threw out some ideas, that I then forwarded to Gary, who discussed things with the man himself (Fyodor (Fred) Petrenko). Just a few minutes ago, I heard back about what the calendar theme will be, and that is... [drumroll]... Eden community.
Basically, the calendar will be representative of the community as a whole. What defines us? What makes us distinctive individually and collectively? That is what the calendar will seek to show.
So, what I need now from everyone on EF is ideas for monthly themes. I can't guarantee that your idea will be selected, but the more ideas that are tossed around, the more likely it is we can all create a calendar about which all of us can be proud.
To start, let me give you three sample ideas: holiday spirit, bodyparts, and pets. In small ways, these themes define us as people, and consequently as a community. I need all of your help to come up with other ideas that, collectively, define us as a community. Oh, and the themes and photos need to be mainstream, not adult-oriented.
Once we get all these ideas, everyone will be invited to submit their photos for this calendar. Unless the photo submissions are so numerous that this would be impractical, the tentative plan is for every submitted photo to be included in the calendar, with the best one each month (as voted by you) to be showcased.
So, everyone please add in your ideas in this thread over the next two weeks. Thank you!
