My wife has had a soar throat for the past few days, doc say nothing he can do but let it take its course. Cloroseptic and chamomile tea are not helping and she has not slept much because of it. Anyone know a great working home remedy?

This might sound a little funny, but you know what I found works great?
I learned this from my days selling Pure Romance. Sometimes the Good Head or Great Head gels work GREAT. They are made to kind of relax the throat and numb it a little so that deep throating can be achieved without the gag reflex. If you have any of this lying around maybe try this?
Tried any cough drops? Oh and is there sugar in the tea? I found that sugar in my tea when I have a sore throat only makes it worse.

Did they culture for strep throat? It can drive you crazy.
Sometimes the pain reliever of choice (tylanol, here), a benadryl to help her sleep, and time is the only choice.

Spice tea with cinnamon, cloves and black better. No sugar, just some honey to sweeten it. Really.

Eat honey, take advil (antiinflammatory), and use some strepsils or other throat "cleaner" or how to say that. And hot tea also during the day.
