Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is a disease affecting hormone levels, ovarian cysts, and other various bodily systems. It creates a wide variety of symptoms from facial hair to erratic menses to weight gain & trouble losing weight to early onset type II diabetes to sleep apnea to infertility to emotional dysregulation and many many more. Of course, not everyone experiences every symptiom. For more information and other useful links, click here. I suffer from a particularly severe case which has left me infertile, obese, with mild to moderate facial hair, extremely erratic periods and really heavy flow (even for someone with PCOS). I was just wondering who else had it, what symptoms they have experienced, and how their PCOS is being treated (I'm about to get a Mirena to deal with mine and of course, since I have type II diabetes, those meds as well). Of course, I know these are very personal questions, so please answer as fully as you'd like, or as breifly as you'd like (duh!). Maybe we can band together and support each other?
Does anyone else have polycystic ovary syndrome?

This is a great place for a thread about this and I encourage threads like this under this category because THIS is what I created ELH for! One of the reasons, anyway.
That said, please check for duplicate threads using the search function.
However, if you all would like to continue this thread here and gain support, I welcome it!
