Love you hun! I just got the kids to bed! And lit my soy candles for ambiance. My personal goal for this week is to buy a battery for my scale. I haven't weighed myself in like 6 months. Does anybody want to apply for the job of smacking me upside the head every time I go shopping and forget to pick one up?

Just make sure you don't OVERDO it w/ the weighing. They say it's actually better for weight loss to weigh yourself LESS, believe it or not. I think we get too caught up on the numbers. Sometimes, the weight is redistributing - becoming muscle & not fat, so we might look waaaaaaaay better and have lost a couple dress sizes or whatever, but not necessarily have lost what seems like a proportionate amount of weight. Also, we all hit plateaus during weight loss where the lbs will come off slooooow as hell, but, eventually, things pick back up again - just like with any other endeavour. I, personally, having a history of eating disorders, am not terribly fond of scales b/c I end up obsessing over the numbers & compulsively weighing myself 80 million times a day, but I don't think it's a bad thing for most people. I just think we do it too often, at times. I think the recommended amount of times to weigh yourself is once or twice a week, max. don't quote me on that though. anyway, regardless, i'll be happy to smack you upside the head when you forget to buy one as long as you'll do the same for me when i forget to make the dr's appts i've been meaning to make for weeks.
