My college organization wants to have a charity dance for Valentine's Day. I need some ideas of who to donate to. Something heart disease related? Children? Animals? Anything that would tug on the "heart strings"...

When I had money to donate I donated to St. Jude's, Reading is Fundamental, and the ASPCA. All great causes and ones that tug at heartstrings.

We've always donated to Red Cross and Noah's Wish Foundation whenever we've been able to. They're the first ones in action when the hurricanes hit, and they do a lot of good. Noah's Wish is my personal favorite because after hurricane Charley we saw them going above and beyond to get in and save the animals in the "closed" zones. They refused to be delayed by red tape and paperwork, they just wanted to stop the animals from suffering.
