Hello everybody, and welcome to our fourth official Eden Gives Back meeting! Well, it's going to take place right here anyway, on Monday, June 6th at 7pm Eastern.

Not bad. I was looking forward to taking the motorcycle out tonight, but my husband apparently has the keys for both bikes in his pocket, at his work, nowhere near where I was, lol.

Ok, so let's start out by discussing the clothing drive we've been doing!

I know that some of you have already made your donations and sent in your submissions, and I know that some of you are just trying to find the time. Would anybody be opposed to keeping this going year round? Donations are always needed, and it's always nice to get a little bit of love on the blog. What do you guys think?

There's certainly plenty of good reasons to keep it going year' round, but will you be able to keep it fresh in everyone's minds? I mean, is there a way for it not be be just another thing to do on EF? We donate a big pile of stuff once or twice a year, and I imagine plenty of others do too, but can it have the same impact if it isn't an "event"?

It might. I can see your point and I worry about it going stale too. But at the same time I don't want to discourage people from donating and sharing with us because they missed a deadline. Maybe instead of always bringing it up, we can bump it up occasionally as a reminder?

Does anybody else have any ideas for how we can keep it fresh without being overwhelming?

Nothing specific, although making a point to hype it during spring cleaning time and again around the last two months of the year would be prudent, I'd say.

Do you think we could get something on the community page about it, or even on the EF blog?

I would have no problem bumping it up from time to time.

Vaccinium, that's a good idea.

And Dwtim, I try to keep them up on the community page, the new meetings get added there whenever they go live. It's just hard to keep things up like that. We could probably do something on the EF blog to try and cross promote as long as it didn't come across as too redundant, since all of this gets covered on the Eden Gives Back Blog.

I was thinking about something permanent, since it is an ongoing club deal. Anything to keep it in front of folks.

We're trying to get stickies for threads right now. Otherwise all I can really do is keep promoting the original thread.

Could you maybe get 6 different Eden Gives ideas and maybe rotate them each twice a year? That way every 6 months that idea repeats for the month.

I understand the intent, but is there a better term than clothing donation? I mean, most of us donate a heck of a lot more than clothes. Admittedly, I'm not sure what work would work best.
