Temaki sushi

Has anyone tried temaki sushi? I hear it is good for parties. You just cut up the nori in 4 pieces and have all the ingredients out and people basically make their own roll without rolling it up.

I love sushi, temaki (hand-rolls), are pretty simple and I can see their appeal for a party situation. On the other hand I don't know that I would just want to leave a bunch of sushi ingredients sitting out all night at a party, and it isn't all that difficult to prep sushi rolls ahead of time and leave them in the fridge, bringing them out as necessary.

I have never eaten that style of prepared sushi, but it sounds great. Sushi is soooooo good. Having a fun sushi try for a party sounds like a great idea.

That does seem somewhat precarious. Maybe if it was all veg rolls, but fishy ingredients seem like a bad idea to leave out on a table. I've done a candy "sushi" bar at a kid's party before also.

You could just keep the fish in the fridge and bring it out when you are getting low. I can't think of anything else that would go bad so soon.
