This is my fiancé's favorite way to have salmon!
Ingredients
3/4 c maple syrup
7 TBSP reduced-sodium soy sauce
3 cloves minced garlic
3/4 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1lb salmon filets
Directions
1. In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, garlic salt, and ground pepper.
2. Line a shallow baking dish (I prefer glass, but material really doesn't matter) with foil. Place salmon in lined dish and pour the marinade over the salmon. Cover the dish and put in the refrigerator for no more than 30 minutes, turning salmon once during marination.
3. Preheat oven to 400F. Uncover salmon and bake for ~20 minutes, or until the salmon can be easily flaked with a fork.
Suggestions: serve with couscous (my favorite!) or wild rice and fresh steamed vegetables. Since the marinade is cooked with the salmon, feel free to use it as a sauce to flavor your couscous or rice.
