I've heard many positive things about kale chips. If you've made them yourself, do you have any tips on making and seasoning them?

I love kale chips! Use a dehydrator not the oven. I dont make them but I have a friend who does. She shares! She mixes the seasonings in the blender, then tosses them and dehydrates overnight.

I've never made them, but I'm in LOVE with Brad's Raw Leafy Kale. The vegan cheese variety is sooooo good. I'm not vegan. I just love yummy, healthy food. They sell it at whole foods!

I've made them once, but it was in an oven and they may have been overdone. While I liked them enough, they crumbled like goldfish food. Not good.
I'm sure if they're done well, they can be a nice and healthy snack.

I think you can just bake them in the oven if you don't have a dehydrator. a little salt?? sounds delicious really. I always forget to pick up kale when i'm at the store and chips sound really good right now!!

Thank you so much for all the replies! Keep the seasoning suggestions coming!
I made some soup last night with kale, so I'm going to use the rest of the bunch as chips! I'm excited to try them!

I've used the oven method. The main problem was the salt made them too salty, I would retry the recipe again if the urge ever hit me.

Oh gosh, I love them. I'm still experimenting making my own, but here is the recipe my friend (who turned me onto them in the first place) uses and is amazing: link

You should! If you make them yourself, it's very inexpensive and nutritious!

My mother has a thing that makes dry apples would that work? Because we're always going on diets and she loves kale and I think this would be great. what type of spices?

Sounds like they were overcooked. What was the oven temperature and how much time did you give them?

Rule of thumb: they shouldn't be allowed to turn brown.

I love kale chips SO MUCH. I just bake 'em with a little salt.
