Colcannon! Traditional potato and cabbage dish served in Ireland for Halloween. It's essentially boiled shredded cabbage mixed with mashed potatoes and scallions.

colcannon

I need to get the stuff to make it - thanks for reminding me.

I do lots of Halloween-themed treats for the kids. Yesterday I made them monster fruit wedges (cutting fruit into wedges, putting peanut butter between two wedges to make a mouth, tiny slices of the fruit for teeth, and grapes for eyes). They love it.

In my family it's always been a tradition to have beef stew for dinner on Halloween

I saw an amazing cake tin once in the shape of half a pumpkin. I'd love to bake something like that.
