What's your opinion on the production/ sale of foie gras?
Foie Gras - Should it be available?

It is animal torture. I won't eat veal, either. I like to buy my meat from the farmer's market.

I don't see force feeding the ducks or restricting baby cows movement any less inhuman than lining up cows and killing them for their meat. It's just a way to make a meat more expensive and put a fancy name on it.

I have seen animals killed on small farms in a quick and clean manner so that they can be eaten, and I'm ok with that. I am not ok with an animal being tortured so that it can be eaten, I find that unnecessary and cruel.

Foie gras? It's debateable. I find the ducks being forced indoors for three weeks more objectionable than the force feeding they're subjected to. I'm also assuming conditions like those at the Hudson Valley Foie Gras farm, but I admit that it might not be the case everywhere. Just look at how miserably some poultry and meat farms are run.
You might find Anthony Bourdain's video of interest, he thinks the Foie Gras issue is overblown:

not a fan of it, but I see no problem with someone eating it. Animals are here to serve us. We use them to farm, eat, and clothe us.

I don't see the problem with eating it, but if the animals are obviously suffering then there's a problem. I don't agree with the way that most animals are kept for food recently.

As long as it is done humanly! I love the stuff. Force feeding is not as bad to me as keeping them in cages or in poor conditions. But I eat free range otherwise!
