What is your favorite type of ethnic food?

Contributor: SimpleHedonist SimpleHedonist
I rarely eat "american" food, and love to eat and cook all kinds of ethnic foods. Some of my faves are Indian, Thai, and Greek. What are you faves, or even better, your favorite ethnic meal/recipe (I would love to try something new!)?

I love Asian food, but the bastardized American versions are so unhealthy I rarely eat it.

North Korean BBQ. I cannot wait!!! This summer??? I get to spend the whole summer near the border of North Korea!!!! I get to wake up, look across the river yawn, scratch my buttocks and go... Kim you be crazy!!! Then go to work.

I also love Wuhan food... so much nicer and better and spicier than that crappy Sichuan food.

I love Merdia-ian? food as it has a lot of fruit base. Proper Thai street food is just fantastic!!! Oh! Kimmirut delicacies are fantastic dipped in a soy sauce.

And ice cream.

Stop torturing me, talking about all those yummy stuff that I don't get to eat!!!

I love ALL ethnic foods, doesn't matter which country as long as they're authentic, not the Americanized stuff.

Well guess what I am having for breakfast??? Tea boiled egg, chili cabbage, and a hot bread thing with garlic and spices in it. Yup. I am going to open up that hot bread thing and make a sandwich.

I'll email you and tell you all about lunch later.

Chinese -- guess it's because I grew up with it. Southern Chinese food though. I find the Northern foods too bland for my liking.

So many...Japanese, particularly sushi is my favorite ever. I also love Indian, Mexican, and just about anything with multiple layers of rich flavor.

I love American, Mexican and Asian. I love those donut things--so greasy, but damn delicious! We eat at an Asian place often and it's great. I love the egg rolls! They occasionally have fried zucchini, but it isn't always great. Carraba's fried zucchini is amazing, but extremely overpriced.

I don't eat much other ethnic food. I like mexican because it's so darn cheesy! Lol. I love cheese and I love vegetables. Amigos is my fav mexican food place. They have some amazing cheesy plates! I also love El Meson.

I don't really care for the cuisines that are based on starchy vegetables and meats... I'm just not a meat and potatoes person.

That means you don't like dumplings and Beijing Duck? What about Muslim lamb and vegetable stir-fry...it's actually very tasty if done right.
